Khalistani - Full Case Study

Operation Bluestar happened in 1984, But why is the Bhindranwale's  reference is given till the date? and before we discuss the Amritpal Singh case we have to understand the real reason behind this all.     You know the story in bits and pieces  but not the actual reason for why this is happening. Those things are not as simple as it looks.

All of this started in the year 1823, this map you are looking at, this is the map of the Sikh empire that was ruled by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It should be noticed that till Maharaja Ranit Singh ruled the Sikh Empire, Britishers did nothing. No attacked happened. But as soon as Maharaja Ranjit Singh Died and the Sikh empire got weaker, Britishers attacked and captured the Sikh Empire. Those Britishers added this Haryana part in the Sikh Empire. Earlier Haryana wasn't therein Sikh Empire. Now all the details I'm providing will began to look relevant.

So, Britishers, when they captured the Sikhs Empire sent the kids of Raja Ranjit Singh to Britain for Education. So, Britishers don't face any problem in future to control the Sikh Empire. And therefore now there was no one to lead the Sikh Empire or represented it. And thus the priest of the local Gurudwara became the heads that controlled it. Now the Sikh as a community didn't like this thing much, so in 1920, the community started moving out the Akali Movement. The Moment created pressure on the Britishers that the priests of Gurudwara cannot control them anymore. And further the pressure raised so much that a 175 - member committee called Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committe was formed. This name of SGPC is that you har around in the news was formed for this reason, SGPC regulated the gurudwara and it still does so. Its president is still elected in a a proper election. Since then SGPC has been the front face of Sikh community and Akali Dal and SGPC have worked in close proximity since then till now.

By the 1980s the resolution got a lot of traction it found supporters the biggest one was Jarnell Singh Bindranwale a Sikh scholar who later turned into militant he had been campaigning across Punjab but his views were too radical Kuswan the famous Indian Author described Bhindranwale as a man who quote unquote exhorted every Sikh to kill 32 Hindu to solve Hindu Sikh Problem.

In 1982 Bindranwale join hands with the Akali dal to launch a civil disobedience  movement that soon turned into a insurgency. Bindranwale became a dangerous cult figure no rules, no scruples, no morality bound him. He resorted to extremism and to escape arrest he took up residence inside Golden Temple for two long years, the government of India didn't act New Delhi dragged its fleet finally.

Punjab Police began to chase to arrest Khalistan separatist Amritpal Singh on 18 March. Since then, the National Security Act was invoked and more than 150 people have been arrested. But the Amritpal and his associates have gone into hiding. A family Dhoom style chase has been going on for the last several days. Amritpal Singh changes his rides, from Mercedes to Maruti to Motorcycle. He changes his clothes from a long kurta to shirt pant to black goggles. Uttarakhand Police  conducted several search operations at the Indo - Nepal Border. After the intelligence reports that he might be trying to flee the country. But the question is, will catching Amritpal Singh end this problem?
